Raw capture looks complete. Priority products are missing.
Further priority products gap if the stage after raw capture stays broken.
DEMONSTRATION SCENARIO
This is a demonstration scenario. It is not a live demonstration and does not report an executed result.
The situation
A contact’s raw capture is complete and stored. Product generation is a later stage.
Some priority products are missing. Raw capture for the same contact looks complete.
Why this is hard
The first break can be after raw retention. Collecting the contact again, or restarting an instrument that already produced the raw, does not repair a later product stage.
A new contact or an instrument restart should not count when raw capture is already complete.
What the operator can see
- RawCapture complete
- ProductPriority gaps
- At riskFurther products
What V8Y must determine
V8Y must distinguish a product gap after raw capture from incomplete raw, a silent instrument, and a failed contact. Re-collecting is not automatically the repair.
What may happen next
Further priority products gap until that stage is repaired.
What counts as recovery
Not recovery
Success is not another contact.
Recovery
Success is that product completeness matches the raw capture.
Observed results
No executed results are published for this thread.
What this evaluation would test
- Raw complete, product not.
- Do not re-collect.
- Not a silent instrument.
- Any specific filter in the demo is synthetic.
These are the conditions the evaluation would test. They are not reported results.
Operational basis

Derived from NASA’s lesson on ADEOS-II: Level-0 SeaWinds gaps at ground stations even though raw capture for those contacts was complete. Any routing rule here is synthetic. The lesson did not publish one.
