The Track
The track is still arriving. Can the position be trusted?
A questionable track can be acted on while the radio that delivered it is still up.
The situation
Tracks are being published over a network path that is up. A selected navigation source is feeding the track.
What the operator sees
The track keeps arriving and looks wrong. The path carrying it has not dropped.
Why this is hard
A delivered track can look wrong because the source it uses is losing integrity, because the network failed, or because a fix that still looks valid is false. Those are different repairs. Declaring the network down should not count while the track is still being delivered.

What V8Y must determine
V8Y must distinguish a selected source losing integrity from a down network and from a fix that still looks valid, before dependents act on the track.
Position confidence fails for consumers of that source if it stays selected.
What counts as recovery
Success is not a network repair. Success is that integrity and track age recover on a source that can be trusted.

- Integrity loss, a false-but-valid fix, and a dead path kept apart.
- Human approval before the source changes.
- Recovery of integrity and track age together.
Operational basis
Grounded in conflict-adjacent GNSS interference since 2022, in which delivered tracks became untrustworthy while the radio often stayed up. Numeric thresholds in this demonstration are synthetic.
