Vector Lantern — keep Priority Custody healthy.

A synthetic space mission estate where observation, fusion, delivery, and TT&C must stay AVAILABLE — and faults in the path between them put mission products at risk.

The problem

Mission products fail when the custody chain fractures

Priority Custody only holds when the chain from observation through fusion, delivery, and TT&C stays healthy. A missed contact window, a shadowed transport path, a wrong data provider, stale PNT guidance, or a quiet payload can each look like a local glitch — while the mission product goes soft.

Those faults sit between ground access, enterprise transport, mission data platforms, timing quality, and spacecraft C2. No single domain console owns the seam.

The solution

What V8Y does in Vector Lantern

Vector Lantern runs V8Y’s loop on a synthetic Priority Custody estate: observe → predict → route → remediate → verify.

  • Observe — estate signals become incidents with diagnosed cause and impact on custody products.
  • Route — ownership lands with the right ops role (ground access, transport, mission data, timing, spacecraft).
  • Remediate with gates — reroute paths, switch providers or PNT sources, restart a payload producer — with human approval where required, and restraint when no action is correct.

Fixes can carry across chapters; the estate shows what was already recovered so operators see residue as intentional, not stale UI.

Boundary

What this demo proves — and does not

Vector Lantern is an unclassified TRL 5 synthetic evaluation environment. A pass shows correct behavior against this simulation contract. It does not claim performance on an operational Space Force network or mission system, and V8Y does not make the human mission decision.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Vector Lantern?

A synthetic Priority Custody mission estate where V8Y detects and remediates path, provider, PNT, and payload faults that threaten space mission products — with human gates where required.

Is this an operational Space Force system?

No. It is a TRL 5 unclassified simulation. Passing the demo does not claim performance on an operational Space Force network or mission system.
